Hey, flyers of the Minnie-Magg. What is a fav motor you fly in your Minnie Magg? I've launched once with an H550 (that was awesome but quick!). I'm curious what others have flown that you think is a winner....

G80 for low flights. Good for around 480ft or so. Flown twice on that motor. It also flies really well on the H219. I've recorded 1300 ft on that motor and it has a ton of thrust off the pad.

AT J435 Super White - yay! Great launch plume and 2300' with the Apogee-recommended 16oz nose weight.
AT I500T - best launch noise
AT I600R - good looking launch.
Mine are nose-weighted so they need a little more whoop to fly.
My latest has a little less nose weight so should work well on some lower thrust motors.

My mini magg has a 38mm motor mount. Where do you get a M motor for that?

98mm M2500 4 grain. Cut a hole in the bottom of the cone as the motor extends 6 inches inches into the noes cone. Its super sonic at this point.

My mini magg has a 38mm motor mount. Where do you get a M motor for that?

I got a (7) 29mm cluster in mine, did complex L’s with it.

Yeah, a long list for this one. I'll add my love for the H-242, a very nice pairing.

Just to put it in writing, if you wanna stuff something aggressive in it help yourself! But please fly it off a rail instead of a rod. Enjoy!

So what did you do for recovery?

Cut the bottom of the cone off maintaining the radius for strength. Install 3 pounds of lead and eyebolt into the tip. 98mm mount , 30 inch chute , 20 feet of cordage, single altimeter. Lots of reinforcement.
