Hi All,
I'm putting a list together for [mainly Canadian] student teams. I works with a few university teams, mainly for Launch Canada, but they do show up at SPA & NASA SLI events too..
What I'm trying to do is get a fairly complete list of components & such so the students have a handy list. One thing I've noticed, is that:
I know very little on radio trackers & telemetry. any additional info would greatly be appreciated!

What I'm trying to do is get a fairly complete list of components & such so the students have a handy list. One thing I've noticed, is that:
- The student teams tend to be complete newbies, except for the Estes kits. so, they come up with rolling their own tubes & such, not aware that there are manufs who make this stuff!
- Are thrust into 'L3' territory, with no prior knowledge or exposure to HPR, let alone 'rocketry' in general
- Tend to look only at certain [Canadian] distributers, unaware there are others / or that they can buy directly from the manufs..
- Tend to always try to 're-invent the wheel'.. (and over-engineer it!)
I know very little on radio trackers & telemetry. any additional info would greatly be appreciated!
