Launch report: Mustang and Ventris

Yesterday since the corn was harvested on my field and low winds I launched rockets first of this season.

I had been launching the Mustang on 29mm F motors but I wanted to try the 29x24mm adapter from Estes.

Liftoff on E30-7! Really jumped off the pad!

Was able to find it…good orange chute!

Next was Ventris!…maybe? My Der Big Red Max was built with Vanderburn parts and epoxy…as I usually do so it was too heavy to try an F15. Flew on a F67-6! Went out of sight! Perfect!

I assumed I would go with an F67 again with the Ventris. But I was worried about finding it after launching since the cornstalks were still 3’ or so. I happily decided to go back home and go with an F15-4…rather risking a low under powered over losing it!

Like the slo-mo. Why are the vids elongated vertically so much?

I have had trouble posting videos till I found that reducing the images on the sides would let them be loaded. Don’t know any more than that!
