I found some clothesline that blew into my yard after Hurricane Matthew. Since I can't sew worth a $hit, I decided to use staples for my loops.

Anyone that has painted their house knows that part of the process is removing all of the masking tape from the wall base, door, and window trim. I normally don't try to re-use this tape for masking, but hey, why just throw it away? Fold it over or twist it until you have no sticky surfaces exposed and use it as a shock cord for your LPR birds. Just attach short individual pieces together to make longer lengths before twisting and - presto - one environmentally friendly shock cord. I use the term shock cord instead of harness in this example, because your friends will be shocked when you show them this actually works !!
