Sheryl and I got away for a couple days. Spent the night at state line and then a few hours in Vegas the next day. She was in the casino and I decided to go here.

and sharpen my skills. I had a great time. I got $20 in quarters and ended only spending a 1/3 of it in two hours. I played a lot of fun games and they really brought back some memories. One of my favorites was this machine.

I would consider buying it, if I found it for the right price. The whole trip with food and whatever I gambled and gas probably only cost me about $150. I don't like gambling. I played maybe $40 on video poker and that's about it. I prefer the live poker, but there was always a wait.

I remember the morning we left Whiskey Pete's to go to Vegas and we are traveling the 15 N and are just pass Jean NV going about 70mph and some guy in a black BMW passes us like we were standing still. Every time that happens I'm like"Where's a cop when you need one" well guess what? There was one about 100 yards in front of us on the side of the road and this idiot didn't see him and even if he did it was too late.:rofl::rofl: That cop lit his lights up like a Christmas tree when that guy passed. About a 1/4 mile down the road the guy was already pulling over because he knew he was nabbed. I laughed my a$$ off! Serves him right he must have been going about 95-100mph. I'm sure he'll have a nice fat fine to pay. On the drive back we notice traffic in the opposite directing and there was a SUV that rolled over on it's roof and was dicthed in the side of the road. People need to slow down..period!!

All and all it was a fun trip and nice to get away for a couple days!

First large launch I went to was the first Las Vegas Turkey Shoot. I'm sure the casinos owners were not all that happy with me. I don't gamble. I think all I did was to drop whatever pocket change I had at the time and that was it. I was there to fly rockets, enough of a gamble for me ;)

I have a client on the hill across from Whiskey Pete's (behind Terrible's). I usually stay at the Gold Strike in Jean and play a couple dollars in the nickle machines before I go to bed. Those are the best...

Sunday night we had a crazy lightning storm...I was upstairs in our room watching it. Sheryl was playing her video Keno and she said it blew out all the machines on the casino floor. The whole casino floor was dark for about 20 minutes. Craziness!!

GoldStrike is the place to stay and play while at the Tripoli Las Vegas launches, unless you hunker down on the lake bed. Flash that CDL and get an extra discount on the already discounted rooms. Looking forward to Oktoberfest!!!

Yeah that's a good idea. Oktoberfest is in NV? If so I'll stay at Jean then. I'm not intro roughing it anymore. I'd rather paid to stay some place and have a nice bed to sleep in.

My Level 1 is ready to go.

I so want to go to the PHOF. We almost went this year, but decided to paint the outside of the house.

I am obsessed with pinball and have 6 machines currently.

I just love the thrill of the game. Glad you had fun.

Been to Vegas more times than I like to admit, but not recently with time to visit TPHOF.

* sighs *

Pinball is a fun game. I play mine everyday and it's great to have something to do when the glue dries. What machines do you have? I have Gottlieb's Top Card. Good Ol' wedge head.

Gorgar, Terminator 2, Bride of Pinbot - The Machine, and World Cup Soccer 94. And 3 non working ones.

Arcade: Super mario bros, Defender cocktail, 16-in-1 board, and a couple dead ones :(

On the way back from LDRS we went through Las Vegas, slowed down to 65 due to traffic and did not stop.
We used to go to the LV launches and go into town for dinner and wander around but it has lost the attraction.

I remember Captain Fantastic! It came out when I was in college anhd always had a wait to play. Everyone who played knew it was easy to beat, One quarter and I could rack up replays faster that I could use them. I liked Evel Knievel, came out in 1975, first digital scoring and it was FAST!
