Good afternoon everybody,

my name is Giacomo and I used to be a rather active BAR (almost) 20 years ago!

I see that all my posts on TRF have been cancelled by time and I will post below some links to some of my projects from back then.

I'm currently getting back into the hobby, now the kids are old enough to participate to the launches and I could not cope with the concept that my last flight was 18 years ago already...

Time to dust off the fleet and walk to a launch pad again.

My L2 Big Nuke album

I was contemplating extending it by adding a boat tail but I think I will leave it as is. Right now I molded my own fiberglass nosecone for it.
I flew it for my L2 certification on a J800T and then again on the same motor. Dual deployment was by means of a ARRD.

My scratchbuilt Talon 4 album

I loved the Talon design (and I still do). I built this one with a 75mm motor tube and I flew it twice, once on a K560W and the second flight on a L850W.

After the 2 flights I decided to shorten it and repaint it as I did not like the overall appearance of the super long airframe (it was scaled off a 3" design).

My upscaled ACME Spitfire 4

I grew very fond of Fliskits designs and I upscaled both the Deuce's Wild and the ACME Spitfire to 4".

I'm now in the process of weathering the Spitfire because the shiny gloss did not exactly match the "message" this design is supposed to deliver.

My Deuce's Wild flew twice and I failed to ignite both engines at the same time on both occasions. The design is stable anyway and both flights were successful nonetheless. I will try again with Pro38 reloads.

Apollo LES 4"

This was my last project and unfortunately it got lost in a flooding of the warehouse it was in.
I'm not sure I will build it again, I also somehow lost all my CAD files the design was based on.

Enough for now, I'm glad to be back.

You are a very skilled builder!

The Apollo escape vehicle is just outstanding!

Steve
Thank you Steve!
It is a pity it got lost during this long hiatus, I just acquired an Estes Little Joe I kit, I might dive into the Mercury capsule design not to repeat myself (and I really like the details on that capsule).

We will see...
