If Burt Rutan were to build a heavy lift vehicle, it might look something like this.

Thrust is via the two outboard 18mm boosters. Recovery is in the center 24mm body. Ejection charge is vented to center by combined structural support/charge passing horizontal 13mm tubes.

That was a very successful attempt with chrome paint.
Two layers of white primer, two double layers of white satin (for spiral and dent filler) finish, then two light coats of chrome.
