The Smithsonian is in the process of scanning most of their collection. Many of the highlights are already available for download

Highlights include the space shuttle, SR-72 blackbird, Bell X-1, etc...

To my knowledge, most of these models are the only versions scanned from the originals I've seen


I'm really excited for them to start scanning many of the missiles and rockets at the Udvar-Hazy Center, which in my opinion is one of the most underrated museums in Virginia.
