Well, I have been doing a lot of work on my Upscale ESTES DER V3 lately, and I just noticed a bubble in the fiberglass on the tube :( Not only is it a bubble, but it's a big bubble. about 10" long, 2" wide and is seperated off of the tube less than a 64th of an inch, just enough to be slightly compressable. I believe it's between the two layers of glass that are on there, but not sure.

Any ideas on what to do? The rocket is 6" Sono Tube, which is thick cardboard. It should be flying on either 2 J350's or a big 54mm J or small K. I doubt that strength will be much of an issue, but tell me if it is:) I was going to cut around it in a rectangular pattern and then lay in two layers of glass, but I am not sure if that would affect the strength.

Just thinking about it makes me cringe with frustration:mad:

Thanks!

Take an xacto knive and cut the bubble out, sand the the edges until smooth, and re-glass that section of tube...been there done that let me tell you.
