I think Phantom was essentially a clear Alpha III.

Over the years, from when the Phantom first used the clear Alpha III fins/nose cone it has been several lengths. Many older ones have only a four-inch-long body tube, which is too short. The current 1207 has a 5.5 inch body tube, which makes it the same length as an Alpha III. For some reason it comes with a 9 inch ‘chute rather than the 12 inch of a flying Alpha III/IV/VI.

This latest release also has a nice molded and pre-colored cutaway motor. Much better than the paper half motor case plus vacuum formed plastic bit that you had to glue together and then paint.
