Hello!

I am currently working on a rocket design for the TARC competition, and have run into a problem where my apogee is too low while my flight duration is too high. I've tried adding weights, changing the lengths of my BTs, changing my parachute diameter, and changing motors, but have been unsuccessful in getting my target time and altitude. I am wondering if there is anything else I should try that will increase apogee but decrease flight duration?

Thank you in advance!

If the apogee is too low AND the flight lasts too long...is the up-part of the flight too long, or do you mean that the time from launch to landing is too long?

If the up-part of the flight is too long, it sounds as though the flight is underpowered or the rocket is too heavy.

If the down-part is too long, dual deploy without a drogue and with a lower main deployment might help.
