I’m confused about what is being called “cardstock”. I am scratch building rockets using Open Rocket to design for D,E, and F motors. I am making my own body tubes out of what I have always called poster board I get from Hobby Lobby. It is .020” thick. I make my nose cones out of 1’ thick foam I get from Lowes and balsa for fins, and 1/8” ply for centering rings. I make my own chutes from rip stock nylon.

Is this type of construction considered cardstock rocketry? I’m trying to figure out where what I’m doing fits in the forum. Or is it just scratch building?

Thanks

Steve

Basically. :)

I may have overstate a bit, though... looks like @GlenP does use some body tubes in his builds, at least sometimes. Those are wrapped in printed cardstock. If you just browse to see some of his builds you'll get the idea; he's the foremost cardstock builder on this forum right now.
