In my continuing effort to rebuild my original fleet, I scratchbuilt the Alien Scoutship. I used the templates at JIMZ' website, transfered the templates to Powerpoint and made some adjustments during construction for a fair fit. Used #110 cardstock to make all the parts except for a few. I used picture frame board for the three fins that hold the piano wire antennas and for the large disk. All the exterior details were cut one-by-one, all 110 pieces, from #110 cardstock also. The details I did not add were for the smaller lower transition. I used Valspar Brushed Nickel for a classic saucer theme. Decals were re-drawn and printed with my Canon inkjet printer. And finished it with one coat of Future. I think it looks cool. It came out at 2.43oz or 68.8 grams. Flight report this summer... Enjoy!!!
