In building the Boyce 1/14 Nike Hercules, it seems the space available for the wadding and parachute is incredibly small as built to plans. Anyone have any issues with this?

I had the 2-stage version. I've only launched it once and it was successful. Finding the space for the electronic ignition for the second stage was the biggest issue for me. I had there first version. They might have made a second version. The second stage uses an E12-4 and so the amount of nose weight was a lot.

Ok I do have the single stage version and just getting to adding nose weight which seems like its going to be a lot. The space available does not seem to allow a 24" chute. Being all composite construction maybe a much smaller chute will still suffice?

Nice!

I just started mine. Should I bother with a build thread?
