Around here, we just go to the gun store and buy it.

The gun stores that sell real black are getting fewer and fewer, you are fortunate to have a supply handy.

I have called 10+ reloading supply stores and all seemed to say the same things: Black powder was replaced by synthetic powder, Black powder is illegal to have, black powder is illegal to sell in Texas, yadda yadda.

Any North Texas members care to share or PM where I can go to get 1lb of BP? I'm ready to do ground testing on my Punisher 3 and this is now the holdup.

They are really finicky, and need very tight compression to get the charge to expand... I would never risk it after the tests I did years ago... I will use 777 formed round grains in my Muzzle loader but not a rocket chute cannon.

Edit: those products come in like grains like reload grains, that you put into your muzzle loader or BP revolver.
