I knew this guy who made a two stage big daddy by using a tired old BD with many flights and a fin can from another Grosser Vatti that had crashed. D12 0 never had enough oomph to get a vertical staging. Always staged at an angle leading to long recovery walks.
 
Ended up with two rockets. I may have figured out a utility way to keep it from a lawn dart. I used a coupler, baffle plate, i-bolt and it fits snuggly.
