Many years ago I decided to build a rocket that looked like an idealized toy rocket prop from a TV show. You know, a too-good-to-be-true rocket that you'd see sitting on the shelf of the tween boy of the show, which looked fabulous but that he'd never play with or refer to. I was always bitterly jealous of those TV characters for having such swell, non-existent toys.
I finished the Badger, Mark I, about 12 years back.I got a lot of use out of it:
The Mark I has a 24mm mount. Flies REALLY low and slow on a C11-3 (great for demo flights), and to respectable spot-flyer altitudes on a D12-5.
As my craftsmanship improved, I realized I could do better and started on the Badger, Mark II. I used a heavy duty BT-80 tube, and installed an interchangeable motor mount (3 x 18mm or 1 x long 24mm).
Some shots:
Shiny:
Done! I've since gave it a good wax and buff.
