attaching a screw

im trying to attach a screw to the CR of my onyx as motor retention and every time i use epoxy it snaps right off. is there any kind of glue that will stick it on. like jb weld?

I have held screws in ply rings numerous times. I drill a hole and insert them from the rear. A bit of epoxy inder the head and covering the rim and none of mine have let go. I still generally prefer T-nuts for new builds and threaded inserts for retrofits. Just my preference.

thanks for your help but i decided to just screw it directly to the plywood with a nut on the inside of the bt with no epoxy. pics as soon as the epoxy dries
