Anybody use Limewire?

Yep. Much safer than Kazaa or Morpheus...

I used to download music off of it, then I got rid of it for two reasons:
1) I didn't need any more viruses than we already had
2) I didn't want record companies knocking down my door.
I now use iTunes Music Store to download music.

Limewire is just a P2P (peer to peer) sharing network, its not their fault if you trade copyrighted music...but it is your problem if you get caught

Best just to buy the CD's then.

Limewire at one time came bundled with spyware, though I don't know if thats the case anymore.
I use eMule for p2p stuff, mostly finding old classic games you can't find in stores anymore.

iTunes has been a $$ maker for Apple, that's for sure. I'd rather get used CD's and rip them to MP3 myself. That way, I'm in control of the encoding quality (I use EAC and LAME) and no DCM copyright stuff to worry with.
