I have just returned to rocketry and was wondering if anyone is flying or planning on flying in NRC. The new event list for 2023-2024 has been posted.

1/2 A Helicopter Duration
1/2 A Parachute Duration
A Rocket Glider
B Streamer Duration
B Payload Altitude
B Eggloft Altitude

Fortunately, I got into competition in the northeast, where there are lots of clubs that do it. Unfortunately, I now live in a place where almost nobody does competition. Technically, all you need to fly the NRC is one other NAR member and a contest sanction, which can be applied for simply by using https://www.nar.org/find-a-launch/register-an-nar-launch/ at least one day before the launch. If your local club has already registered a launch, don't be shy doubling it up if you want to fly NRC, just put it in the comments that you will be flying it concurrent with a sport launch.

I know it's hard to do a thing when you're the only one doing it, but fortunately we have this internet thing to talk about it. Happy flying!

Hey Roy, glad to see you getting back into things. Looks like SRA does some internal club contests that you could piggyback some NRC flights onto- https://www.spaceportrocketry.org/index.html
You could reach out to Rick Boyette from FSA and see if they are interested: https://www.fsa-twp.webs.com/
Nothing else really close to Vero Beach, and looking over the scoreboard from last year, no FL clubs on the list. You could change that! :)
