Aerotech 54mm forward closure ?

I recently purchased the aerotech 54/1706 RMS. It came w/forward &aft closures & seal disc. I also bought a K 185 W but the delay grain assembly doesn't go in like the pic / instructions show. I followed the instructions but somethings not right. I can start both closures but just barely. Is this not the right forward closure?? I'm gonna be a little bent if I now have to purchase a different closure. It is what it is but if that's the case I would've gone with the trusted K 550. It fit no problems

The K185 and other 54mm long burn reloads require the extended forward closure because their delay grains are so long. It is on the parts list in the instructions.

Yup, just like a lot of others I found that out AFTER I bought the reload... another $60 for the motor bits box.

I will say, though, that the K185 is one of my favorite motors... along with the CTI long-burn sparkies.

I keep Aerotech's master motor matrix handy at all times. Hardware needed is in that table.

Look on page 5 for the long burn 54's. In the Notes column for those reloads, it says "Requires 54FCE" (Forward Closure Extended)
