I'm finishing up my 98 Go Devil and needed a chute for it. I decided to go with 15 ft/sec by making a 8ft chute.
I already had the D-ring, 1.5" Red nylon strap, 550 paracord from my 9 ft. chute for my L3 project. The thread was on-hand, so the only cost was the $98 for 8 yards of 3/4 oz ripstop from Fly Market Kitmaking Supply. (shipping included) Of course the 10 - 12 hours of labor is free too, since it's "Hobby" time. I took it out between the houses where the wind was tunneling through to get some pics.
This should wrap up into about 125 cu.in. (4 in dia. x 10 inches). It's will be a tight fit in the payload of the Go Devil, but should work fine.
