LOC - Aura Gallery

The Aura is a simple rocket, but being simple, lends itself to a wide variety of decoration.

When I first built it, I painted it blue and printed out the decals. Going over blue, they were fairly washed out and the blue was hard to track in the sky.

When I had to replace a fin, I repainted it a lighter shade of blue and made the NC and fins red. I also printed and used most of the LOC decals. This time, they were on white backed paper and the result looks much better to me.

Very nice, I really like this little rocket. Mine still needs some decals. I tried to do the nose cone in chrome, like the fins, but after 4 complete attempts to get it perfect, I gave up. Decided just to give it a hi-vis NC for when I have to go look for it. Flies great.

that looks awesome.

amazing how a great paint scheme and a little decor can turn a generic rocket into a work of art.

Now I have to rebuild my pearl blue one that got blwon up by an exp motor last summer...
