My Dad built this model for me when I was five years old, it was my first model rocket. It flew many times until I got bored with it in the early 80s and it sat around getting hangar rash for the next thirty years. Finally I got around to patching it up, and 30 years after its last flight it took to the skies again, this time with my five year old daughter as the recovery crew!

Mine is a BT-80 version that's had a star-crossed career. I had an original back in 1978, but it was painted "Rocket Red", so that's how I first painted my upscale. I decided on a repaint and went with the traditional yellow instead. Decals were enlarged and printed on Bel Decal white inkjet paper. It's had one flight since then, a perfectly normal flight that was within 100' of being a perfectly normal recovery when the Kevlar snapped. :y: The rocket fell to earth and cracked off a couple of fins.
