    Kit bash NASA SLS

Ask and ye shall receive...https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxSQRy6hTSTIUzVqeWJIMVUtTHc/edit?usp=sharing Keep in mind that this is a rough draft of the first rocket I've ever built in rocksim. I'm still in the process of going over it to make sure everything is lined up correctly and so on...

    Kit bash NASA SLS

Excellent! Thank you so much. I have confidence that I can build it but since this is my first time actually designing a rocket in Rocksim it's been a bit of a learning experience.

    Kit bash NASA SLS

A little background. A while back when Amazon had this crazy sale on Estes Saturn Vs I picked up two of them. I built the first one stock and the second one has been laying around for a while now. I was planning on doing a cluster on the second one but since I've now done both an Estes and...

    Vendors in decline?

Thank you! This may sound crazy, but I was JUST talking about how I needed more pictures of cat's in space suits. LOL. For my first foray into scratch built rockets I wanted to theme them as my cat Stimpy's attempt at world domination. He'll start small with the goal of eventually building a...

DynaStar Firefox SHX Semi Build thread

I've built one of these and it may be my favorite to fly. It just looks so bad@#% going up and I love that big parachute for the slow recovery.

Dynastar Kits ... are they worth it?? What's your opinion??

I've never scratch built or cloned a rocket so maybe my opinion isn't exactly what you are looking for but I love my firefox. It ranks as one of my favorite rockets. it just looks fantastic sitting on the pad or flying through the sky. I did manage to accidentally put the wrong motor in it the...

    1010 Rail question

I've been thinking about finally moving to a rail launch pad and putting rail buttons on my rockets. I like the idea of having an 8' rail just in case i move onto some bigger and heavier rockets in the future. The problem is that putting an eight foot rail in my car will be a pain. It would...

Anyone have a rocksim file for the Air Commander?

    New rattle cans! - Sabotaz

I've seen stuff like thus but different brands. There is a MTN brand and a Montana brand. They have an awesome selection of colors but unfortunately I have not had much luck getting a smooth coat of paint with these. They come out very blotchy, the orange peel effect. The spray is very low...

    Canopies for hot launch days?

How exactly do you connect it to your Bronco? Just from the middle of the pole?

    Canopies for hot launch days?

Did you make that whole thing or buy it? If bought, what brand?

    Canopies for hot launch days?

Can anyone recommend a good canopy to take to launches so we can keep the rockets and ourselves out of the hot sun? I'd prefer it to be durable and light weight but I know that combination might be hard to come by. I've looked at reviews on Amazon but nothing seems to really stand out above...

    Big Ben rocket?

Nice. Exactly the kind of thing I'd like to do. Where was the launch lug placement? I can't even make out a launch rod in that photo. Also, which brand 3D puzzle did you use?

    Big Ben rocket?

So, I was flipping through the new Sport Rocketry magazine when an awesome rocket caught my eye. It was a rocket in the shape of Big Ben in London. The picture was taken at the 3rd annual Ljubljana Cup. The fins protruded from the edges of the clock tower and were painted like the Union Jack...

    Apogee's Saturn 1B

While the Apogee kits are very expensive, they are top notch and the video instructions are fantastic. I wish I had been able to watch the Apogee Saturn V instructions before I did an Estes Saturn V. The method Tim uses to apply the wraps is much better than they way Estes tells you how to do it.

    Saturn V in stages??

    Why not clear plastic fins?

    Apogee Aspire

I launched mine (built per Tim's recommendations for supersonic flight) on a G77 and recovered it maybe 50 or so yards from the pad. I was fully expecting to lose it. The streamer was shredded at the end when it came down. https://youtu.be/-02mWPnJ4d4?hd=1

Four Fin Rockets Are just WRONG

I was gonna say the same thing.

    Most rocket friendly states?

What states are generally considered the most rocket friendly? Meaning, very few legal restrictions and plenty of open land to use as launch fields. I'm in southern California and i'm sure this is one of the most restrictive state when it comes to model rocket laws.

    Priming and sanding advise, please

I understand what you are saying but many people on these forums put a coat of primer on before they even glue the fins on. I've never tried it this way but i was curious about it. The people who do it primer the tube and then sand nearly all of the primer off. There reasoning is that there is...
