Anyone Having Trouble With TRF App on iPhone?

The TRF App on my iPhone stopped working a few days ago. I tried deleting and reloading the app, but it still wont work. Obviously, i can still access TRF on my computer. Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

    Another Big Dumb Rocket

I consider my router table to be the most dangerous tool in my shop.

    Another Big Dumb Rocket

The setup in the above picture seems unsafe to me. I agree that you need to push the workpiece counter to the direction of the cutting or grinding bit. That way your hands are ‘downstream’ of the router bit. But how do you hold the workpiece (fin) once it is half way through? Seems to me you...

    An "R"-powered rocket build

I’ve had one of these rotary switches fail during ground testing. And have heard of other reliability issues for this switch on this forum. If you decide on this switch, solder the battery + lead to terminals 2 AND 3. And solder the load to terminals 1 AND 4. That way, you have a redundant...

Your experience certifying L3 with a 4” (or smaller) fiberglass rocket…

Thanks. I’ll just keep flying my MD screamers with the understanding of what factors can mitigate fin flutter.

Your experience certifying L3 with a 4” (or smaller) fiberglass rocket…

I also did some manual calculations for the rockets I fly and most are well into the fin flutter regime. They always come back OK. So what is the conclusion I should draw from this? It can’t be ‘avoid any fin flutter’, since as Andrew ASC says, vendors sell kits that way and mine seem to...

    Eggfinder mini overheating?

This happened to me on my first Eggfinder build. Not sure what happened, but I suspect that a microscopic filing or copper strand got lodged under the RF module component or PCB. I put a piece of masking tape over subsequent units to protect from conductive FOD. Haven’t had a problem since.

Documenting my Level3 and for sharing with my advisor.

I see the problem as people thinking that a cert flight is different than any other project (it’s fundamentally not) Yes, safety is everyone’s concern, and if the person is doing something unsafe, then people should speak up. But, really, what is the difference if the OP certs on a BDR & a 1%M...
