A little help with Soller glassing?

I've only done this once so I'm in the same boat. 1. Yes, overshrunk on one end. 2. I didn't squeegee the resin out and got a nice smooth finish under the heatshrink albeit with a few pockmarks (ie bubbles) that will be easily filled. The end that missed the shrink I'll just bog up. Cheers, Mark

    Eggtimer & Lipo Batteries

Forget JST and go Doghouse from Binder Design. Much easier to work with. I've converted all my batteries / AV bays to these. Cheers, Mark

    Diy E-match or igniter

Easy peasy soldering nichrome. Just use a flux similar to Baker Soldering Fluid. There must be a similar product over there. And I use the bridgewire igniter guide.

The car from your past you miss the most?

1975 Datsun 180B SSS. 1800cc 4 cylinder. Twin SU carbys. A cack load of fun. Revered by the local rallying community around the Brindabellas here. Didn't have a straight panel on it when I sold it :) Stock photo but almost the same colour. Cheers

    Nuclear Crowbar coming soon.

Hi Scott, Any chance of plain tubes (no fin slots) with the dimensions necessary to cut them? Thinking of glassing the tubes here and glassing over slots is a pita. Cheers, Mark

Avionics Bay and Pull-pin switch Question

You can also have a piece of material same dia as the pull pin resting inside the switch slide. Have an exit hole this can be pushed through. Do all the prep and connections and button up. Push the spare rod out with your pull pin and bob's yer uncle. Cheers

    Alternative flame retardant fabrics

I've used treated undies as a drogue in a 54md. It's what's called "hanging out the washing" :) Cheers, Mark
