    Executioner Upgrade?

Here is a shot of extra coupler. Mine had warped fins also so I made new ones out of the same 5/32" plywood. I did call estes about the fins and they told me they would send me new fins. Being a mature adult I couldn't wait for new fins to arrive in the mail is why I made new ones. With in...

    Executioner Upgrade?

I made mine a 2 by 24mm cluster. It flies great and whenever my son and I launch we almost always fly the executioner at least once. I made the centering rings out of 5/32" ply. I also added an extra tube coupler right in front of motor mount to add a little strength to main tube.

wow, one of my favorite bands. I started to listen to them back in the 70's. I don't know what happened to the band members because the current guys are a bunch of old geezers.

    Executioner - My first MPR

My son and I did ours about two years ago. I did most of the finish work and paint. We did ours in a two motor cluster. The fins were warped in our kit so I made new fin out of 1/8" plywood. Also made the centering rings out of 1/8" plywood also. We have flown ours 6 times so far on Eates D's.

    estes saturn V Build question

I believe he has filled and sanded the spirals on the outside of tubes. I'll check to see if he has done anything else. I ordered the new release of the saturn from my local hobbt shop. I am looking forward to having one of these of my own.

    estes saturn V Build question

A friend of my is building an older estes saturn that he started 10 or more years ago. He wanted to know about the wrap that goes on. I have never seen one of these kits in person so I do not know much about the wrap. The question is how to paint or what to use for paint and have the wrap...

    Stiffening BT with Couplers?

I bought the whole kit at the local hobby shop for $32. After realizing that the fins were warped to much to be used is when I made my own fins and I was going to do a cluster anyway. I did use both body tubes and coupler. I used the nose cone and the decals and of course the instructions...

    Stiffening BT with Couplers?

Here are a few pictures of the executioner my son and I built. I made it a 24mm cluster . I did add a coupler inside tube against motor mount. I used 1/4" lugs and I glued them to a piece of 1/8" thick balsa to keep rod from rubbing at launch. When we got this kit the fins were warped so I...

    Precise manual hole drilling

How is using a shaft collar going to put 6 holes equally spaced around tube. In order for holes to match the holes in the bulkhead they need to be spaced every 60 degrees. He said he wanted to be able to do many tubes and bulkheads and have them all interchange.

    Precise manual hole drilling

I do not own any reloadable motor casings, Heck I have never even seen one in person so I don't know all of the parts or ins and outs of using or making one. I read this post a few times and found myself smiling because of how simple this would be. I do have a question. I realize there is...

    Precise manual hole drilling

I went with +.005 because of possible out of round tubing. .005 was a suggestion not knowing what tubing he has. Also +.005 is only .0025 per side clearance, Hardly enough to cause alinement problems. Also .001/.002 is a close fit and may cause scratching of tubing when sliding tube in or...
