    Finally cut the cord...

Last summer we had terrible thunderstorm that took out my land line or some out-of-the-house electronics or my phone itself. I was told that if a technician just walked in my house, that alone would be $55. Well, it turns out there no problems except the inside phone itself. The technician...

CNN's 'End Of The World' video. (Dead serious!)

    >>If it comes it comes, but history says it won't. I just finished a European History course and the one thing that impressed me more than anything else was that wars became more and more destructive as humans repeated the same aggressive impulses they had for thousands of years. If Hitler had...

    Irrational fear of being robbed?

Sounds like a good plan if I understand right that your lawyer will be in the meeting with the other three people you mention. But, of course, you're right, government employees would never falsify a report.:eyeroll:

    Irrational fear of being robbed?

Talk to your parents; talk to your doctor; talk to your minister. It's surprising how much the advice differs here but the reasons behind all the advice reduces to one thing: (I'm old enough to say it.) love. There are a lot of good people in the world.

    Fermi's Paradox

I thought of your comment when I read this sentence from a friend: "I have to agree that given enough time our kind will foul the nest sufficiently or enact some cataclysm of destruction that puts our future prospects with the dinosaurs'.
