My Defender MK-III is officially more awesome, a feat never thought possible.

Way to go Badazz Rocketry!!!

I bought a few at the last launch. Pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this product.

Thanks Fellas! I'm working hard behind the scenes to put out great product.
Your Comments make this old Engineer/Machinist feel great!

Keep your eyes open!

Bayonet mount?

How do you keep it from slipping? Does it have a taper?

Which part do you mean is slipping? the retainer ring or the tailcone itself?

The retainer ring threads in. It threads in quite deep, and also is very fine pitched. I would be extremely surprised if it ever came undone by itself, given that Aeropacks never come undone. It is also very easy to put this thing in very tightly with a pair of needlenose pliers as a wrench.

The tailcone itself is held in by 3 or 4 screws along a shoulder.

I own all but the newer releases from Baddazz and I will tell you they are amazing works of not only mechanical design but also works of art. If you don't have any you should.

If it were a bayonet, it would need some spring-loaded retention to keep it from rotating the partial turn needed to remove the mount.
