Specifically asking for guys that launch in the Midwest. From Fort Wayne - Muncie, Three Oaks, and Lafayette are the easiest fields that I know of to get to. Do you find the on board GPS to be useful, or is cell signal sufficient? I didn't buy the GPS when I bought the LCD Rx, but if I want to add it on, I'd rather do it now than have to take the case apart again.

How about 600' inside a cornfield my phone was having issues and wouldn't connect to the bluetooth, so I had to rely on the LCD/Gps combo, it was a bit more difficult to use due to the update rate of the GPS but it led me to within 10' or less of the 7.5" nosecone and chute which was about as far as you could possibly see it in 8-10' corn. Sorry I am in the Pacific Northwest not Midwest, but we have huge fields of corn and other crops in Eastern Washington.

I forgot about the bluetooth dropping. I have an S9 and the bluetooth has been very reliable to the point you forget it is there. My wife's Pixel 2 has been the opposite and it is frustrating for her. The GPS could be a solid backup, even if mapping on a cellphone was used most of the time.
