I picked this one up yesterday and I got to putting it together today. I notice that the fins seem really small compared to the overall size of the rocket. Anyone else have this kit and think the same? I dont doubt that they would be sufficient but just feels like its miss proportioned.

I decided to modify my Olympus. This is what I ended up with
I'm letting the Schock cord glue dry right now then I'll get a picture of it all in one piece

Does it have a 29mm motor mount? I think I heard that it was, but they weren't certain either due to some confusing advertising.

Good! I'm not ready for that jump to 29mm. Almost bought the Mean Machine and/or Vapor last night, but thought of the already large build stack waiting for my attention. I've got to build quicker, so I can make more rockets purchases.

Don't let the 29mm worry you. Estes sells a 29mm to 24mm adapter. I've flown my Majestic on D12-3 a few times now using the adapter. Work pretty well.

Both of those are 24mm powered.

I am just finishing up one of these now.

Did you note that the coverstock drawing shows an altimeter that appears to be attached to the nose cone? (Altimeter not included)

Both the nose cone and the part that is at the bottom of the clear plastic tube are hollow. The one at the bottom is hollow clear through! There is no place to attach an altimeter :)

I covered mine up with cardstock to keep ejection gases out of the payload bay and to make the volume of the payload bay a lot smaller. The altimeter if I use one will just sit in there with some wadding to pad it.
