Almost all of the rockets that fly on M motors at our launches use 1010.
Thanks, Steve. We almost never see an M on anything but 1515. We’ll take that into account as we complete the range design.

Same here, rail button size is a function of weight ("hanging weight") not motor thrust, though I would be curious if anyone has done studies on what forces and pressures are exerted on rail buttons at the time of launch.Almost all of the rockets that fly on M motors at our launches use 1010.
BTW ... don't go commando with shorts on the salt ... interesting "parts" sunburn for the unaware.
Sensitive eyes or not, shades are a must on the salt. Your eyes will sunburn, just like if you go snow skiing. Website is in-progress which will have all these details/suggestions. Coming soon!!!!For those with sensitive eyes: an inexpensive pair of shade 5 safety glasses (with sideshields) makes spending a day on the salt much easier to endure. Shouldn't have any problem finding them at a welding shop.
I apologize if this is already been asked but can I leave my trailer on site overnight
Yes. You can leave everything. We always have someone on site to act as security overnight, although he now wants to be referred to as Marshal at Arms.

Never been to an LDRS, but just made reservations at the Wendover KOA about 12 miles away! Now for that motor buy...hmmm. Moving into a new house in Tucson in a month, so I need to get the Rocket Build Lab going quickly.
We have a large number of rooms reserved at special rates for LDRS 39 at the Wendover Nugget Hotel and Casino. You will need to call in to make your reservations:Where will the banquet/member's meeting be?

As of today, hotels.com has 2 rooms left at the Motel 6 for $48/night. The bad news is that you have to prepay. The good news is that it's half of what all the other hotels are charging, and it is fully refundable. Have stayed there multiple times for previous Hellfires, and it is perfectly adequate.
Is there a mailing list?
I was thinking the same thing, "For what purpose?". We don't bother collecting addresses any more-just City/State.When you register, your email gets added to a mailing list. I suppose we could do the same for a physical address list, but I can’t imagine we would.
Official Hotel is posted with details here:

Plenty of rooms left for now. This is also where the banquet will be held
It's not looking good for getting anything above the regular Hellfire 25,000' waiver.
Also, we are probably going to get the waiver to run from 7am to 3pm instead of the more typical 9am to 5pm. The best weather for flying is earlier in the day and the heat gets bad in the afternoon.
Mine is ordered! Though I won't need a waiver. And it looks mighty nice against the the salty background!N2220 Dark Matter, Just Sayin. I might need a call in waiver for that one.
But its a dry heat!
