Recently, our batteries failed. I replaced them with 12 volt batteries with 7.5 and 12mah. I saw how some blub put them in Harbor Freight ammo cans but did not like the wood support they used. I have 3D printed supports to keep the batteries relatively snug.

I am printing them out of Blue PETG to prevent warping but you could use ABS if you take into account shrinkage. More to come.

The battery and two pieces. The U shaped piece holds the battery down against two end pieces in the bottom of the box. The end piece is the right of the battery.

Are you using the same 3d-printed block for preventing lateral movement as well? I think that I might be seeing the same block in front and behind the same battery. Is that right?

And in case anybody's interested, here's a pic of the wood supports that Dan Fox Battery box - open close-up.jpg put into the same type of ammo boxes to hold the same kind of SLA batteries. We did this three or four years ago. I use these for all testing of Wilson F/X systems before they leave my shop.

And speaking of my cousin Dan Fox, I wonder where the F/X in Wilson F/X comes from? Hmmmmmm…. curious.....

And in case anybody's interested, here's a pic of the wood supports that Dan Fox View attachment 383061 put into the same type of ammo boxes to hold the same kind of SLA batteries. We did this three or four years ago. I use these for all testing of Wilson F/X systems before they leave my shop.

These blocks stop both left to right, front to back, and vertical movement. I guess in 3D movement: it prevents movement in the X, Y, and Z-axis directions. I will take better pictures tomorrow and take some with out the box.
 
My goal is to make them for both the 12 MAH and 7.5 MAH batteries. I am trying to print them in ABS and PETG. ABS is a challenge because it shrinks.

Isn't it sot of expensive to 3d print solid blocks of plastic ….3ea ? At least they look solid....
I Built a high current (20+Amps) relay launcher with a 12AH battery that I just strapped down with metal strap and thin all thread, with long receptacles.
It is snug enough to prevent movement in any axis...…. you don't think it risks damaging the case do you ?

It is not expensive. 10% infill so not expensive. It would cheaper to CNC out of wood but that is not an option right now.

Can we exchange the battery clips that we received for the type of battery cable shown in these photos that connect to the 1/4 inch blades on SLA batteries? They don’t appear in your price list.

You can see that it holds the battery in place and gives a track for wires either below the battery of above.
