Does anyone by chance have any Quinstar upscale files that could be used to 3D print the pieces? I don’t have any access to wood cutting stuff so I can’t cut anything out but I can print stuff. Been wanting to do an upscale Quinstar for 29mm for a while now.

29mm Quinstar, every piece cut by hand! (yes, I am crazy). Check what the weight would be for a 3D-printed version, I would fear it would be a brick, but maybe it would be possible to take some steps to lighten it up (not sure exactly how though).

Check with @Charles_McG regarding files.
 
3D printed pieces would be about as heavy as cutting them out of basswood
 
Better than I expected for some reason. In that case you should be OK. Mine is a combination of basswood (frame) and balsa (non-structural pieces). If I had to do it again I'd try to make it a bit lighter, but I'm not sure where I'd change. My biggest problem is that I have no good way to get F15-0s anymore, now that my local HL stopped carrying them. :(
 
For a super-draggy saucer I've always thought a long slow burn would yield a better flight than a blaster like the F67. But I haven't tried. Also gotta watch the delay, don't want it firing after landing.

I think Charles_McG flew his on a G67 or something like that and got a very good flight.
 
Take off the red cap and save the powder for dual deploy or dipping igniters. Tape over the small orifice.
I've flown my stock one on an AT D SU motor. Yowzers.

Mine is a 38mm version - I'm partial to the CTI 38mm-1G G79 Smokey Sam for it.

I have vector files in Illustrator. Completely scalable. In general, I don't share files for modern kits - but I have been known to give people a helping hand converting scans of their kits into vectors.

Hmm... I'd be temped to bring the pieces in as SVG. Assemble them in CAD and then print the whole Quinstar.
