Marsa Systems is now offering an optional MilSpec urethane conformal coating for the Marsa33LHD. This is highly recommended for those who intend to fly there rockets out of the atmosphere or very high.

Boards are oven dried, coated and cured with a urethane coating. The coating also provides extra protection against corrosion, moisture and vibration/shock.

Cost is $20 and may add a few days to order lead time.

How does this coating work with the barometric sensor for the altimeter?

The baro sensor uses a fluorosilicone gel that isolates the die from environment but allows it to respond to pressure. The conformal coating would just protect the solder joint to the board.

You protect anything that shouldn't be coated before spraying. Sensors, connectors, etc.

One of the reasons why i purchased an AltAcc many years ago was because conformal coating was standard.
