weigh each kit after bagging , weight will be really close to same , saves double shipping missing parts

I looked at your blog.

"If the rocket kits are on back order it could take up to a month to send it to you. "

Do not, do not, do not accept payment for kits you don't have in stock! This has been the fatal flaw for many vendors, I'm not going to list them but you can find their names in older threads.

Have kits on the shelf ready to ship upon receipt of funds. If you run out of a kit, stop accepting orders until you have it restocked.

See the attached? We're out of that kit. Do it like that.

OK. Thanks! :) I'll fix that.
Thanks,

Apparently if I keep my income under 1K, I don't have to have a business license, and I don't need to do taxes.
Thanks,

Can you post a link? I can't find anything that confirms this but many debunking articles appear.

You should number the rockets and sign them. Since you will be producing limited amounts, they might become collector's items.

These are the ones you want & they are free...... I cut them in 1/2, doing so in a way I make new end, fold over and tape shut.

If post office does not have just ask them to order 10 for you...still free. 1/2 a box with light kit will ship pretty much anywhere for 8-9 dollars, priority with tracking#.

Put all small parts in zip lock baggies. Dollar store..... 150 for 2.00
Save mom's thin plastic bags from grocery store to use for super light packing.

what is that?
Thanks,

With a few exceptions, I find that trying to use flat rate boxes for shipping model rocket kits to be impractical. The boxes large enough to hold a kit cost far more to ship than the priority mail equivalent. Kits just don't weigh enough to take advantage of flat rate shipping.

OK, so some things that I need to say;
I haven't tested my rocket, yet. I have a very small soccer field near my house, but I don't think anyone is allowed to fly there. So, I need someone else to fly it for me, and that is what's called a "Demo flight" Once I get the parts together I'll pick someone to do it, or YOU can feel free to volunteer. I don't think I'll charge for the kit, unless you really want to. I can NOT pay for shipping, unfortunately. By Monday or Tuesday I'll have the kit together. On Thursday I can ship it out. I can not supply you with a motor. I would also encourage that you do a build thread about it with pictures and maybe even a video of the launch, and at the end give a final review about it. Lastly, I will give you all pictures of the components as soon as I can. If you would like a sneak peek at the instructions; let me know! :)
Thanks,

Hmm, I'm having some issues trying to put the Microsoft Word file on here...

Come on, guys! I need your opinions on what you think about my demo flight idea! :)
Thanks,

OK! I guess maybe I'll have to register my name, has anybody here done it before? I don't know how to register my name, though. As long as it isn't difficult, I think I'm up for it! :)
Thanks,

Yes, it wasn't difficult just time consuming. In Dallas, I had to go to the Records Building downtown. Once there I had to fill out the form, there wasn't much to it, then go through their books to make sure the name wasn't already in use. When that was confirmed I just had to submit the form and pay the fee. I have to renew every 10 years. I'm not sure how it works where you are but probably something similar. My concern would be that you're only 13 and I'm not sure they would let you apply at that age but I haven't researched that. I'm not sure how strict they are with someone your age who is just doing this for a summer job.

You'll need a DBA (assumed name) certificate if you want to open a bank account in the business name or apply for a state sales tax certificate. Again, I'm not sure about doing that at your age. You may need the tax certificate if you want to buy wholesale from some suppliers. Do some research in your area for what you need and can get.

You really need to find someone you trust to help you with that. Throwing it open to people you don't know may not get you the results you need. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

If you have your instructions written, I'll look them over if you like but that's about all I can do at the moment. I'm up to my eyeballs finishing up the instructions and package art for the kit that shall not be spoken of on the forum.

Don: I can't seem to upload my Microsoft File of the instructions.

And also, for everyone here is the pictures of the components. They are all from Estes Rockets, except for the fins. The fins are 1/8 inch balsa fins I cut out on a Scroll Saw. They may look a little rough, but some sanding with soft sandpaper like 240 grit; and it'll be just fine! It's a REALLY tight fit in the box, it's something I got from a order from eRockets. I think it cost a little over $4 for him to ship a kit in that box. Priority Mail seems a little expensive; if you want Priority Mail, whatever. It's your money!! :)
Thanks,

Hmm, the people I know in my local rocket club like flying HPR, I don't know if they want to fly this on a small, small!! motor. I guess I can ask, but I don't think I would see them wanting to do that.
I guess I'll give a shout out to pondman, bguffer, JoeG & SS/EA 6BBL 71 Cuda. If you want to demo flight it, PM me or email me!! :)
Thanks,

Is there ANY way I can get out of having to do that? Getting to Downtown isn't always convenient. I really want to start this "business" but, it is NOT convenient for me to try to get to the Records building. And since I'm 13, that means my parents to would have to drive me there. And we have a decently busy schedule. This is a small little thing, with very little income, and I won't be making very many of these. I do not buy in bulk either.
Thanks,
