The hazard with this is seepage, since the mold line is an irregular surface. Before you shoot the contrasting color, apply another coat of the base color and that should control the seepage. Some people will say to use clear, but the clear doesn't fill the gaps that allow seepage nearly as well.

Sweet trick! Mold line or no I've had trouble with seepage now and then (like everybody? I'm new so maybe I just suck. :eyeroll Sealing the tape line with a spry of the base color is ingenious.
It apears that when I received my second BD kit as a gift and thought "I could adapt this one for a 29mm motor mount" I must have been about hte millionth person to think that. I got the parts from BMS in the mail last week along with the parts for my Terrier-Orion two stage adaptation. I'll post progress and pics when I start building.
