Hopefully the atmosphere settles down and these storms clear out. I'd be surprised if they launched into lightning too.

There's a tornado warning while they are driving out to the pad...... Whut?

The launch window is instantaneous. They go at the appointed moment or they try again Saturday.

When they speak of violating a rule....that would be a scrub for the day.

Five launch weather rules -- surface electric fields, lightning, cumulus clouds, attached anvil clouds and flight through precipitation -- remain RED at this time. But the weather is improving a bit.

Teams are watching a storm cell moving toward KSC from the Orlando area, but the storm appears to be eroding.

All other systems are currently go for launch.

They sound hopeful. Seeing live video of the astronauts in the Crew Dragon is pretty amazing. Are they going to keep live video during the launch? That sounds risky.

I will say I'm gonna be holding my breath on this one.

Pah! And there was me thinking it was only Britain that had poor Wx. Mind you some of the Florida storms are impressive. Have family in Jacksonville who have told me some hair raising stories. Makes Scotland look tame! Not a surprise as forecast was pretty iffy. Sat not looking too clever either...

It would be highly unlikely for NASA to launch into a lightening storm, or violate its own safety rules.

How long is the launch window?
If they wait an hour or two, the storm activity is forecast to subside:

The weather guy even asked if they could have ten more minutes, but it was an instantaneous window and they couldn't even wait that long. I don't know if the window is longer on Saturday or not.

Think NASA learned their lesson after what happened on Apollo 12. Caused a number of soiled undergarments that launch!

That is the plan, but they warned that it might not work.

How about that Ninja all black attired closeout crew?
