Same year I went to NARAM-17 in Florida. And met the fire ants. I'd swear I've seen that photo before, a long time ago (section newsletter maybe?). Rocketeers were so young then...
...and we all had hair!Ah, the bad old days when Bruce Lee was in charge of publications.

Dang!! Thank you for that correction. Absolute apologies to Bruce Lee for that mistake. You mean Bruce Kelly. Lee was treasurer for years.
I have a whole roll of B/W photos from NARAM-17 that need scanning. Includes D13 cato's and Jim Hartmann's Pan Am Space Clipper on its way to impact with the power line.
I have the binder and all the papers in it. From 2006 or 7.
Working on it, scans of one roll done but Nikon ViewNX and XnConvert and Goog Photos are not playing well together. When I get everything straightened out I'll post a link to the Photos album. Here's a couple to start - me on the left and my Dad George Cook in the center. If you can, please scan and post ?

If an RSO was festooned with a hard hat I would have a hard time taking them seriously.
Surely they were made for laughs. Right?

Sorry, I've gone away from Google Photos now that they made it not free. They might end up on Flickr, or perhaps posted here in a NARAM-17 blast-from-the-past thread. I've not yet located the *other* NARAM-17 rolls that have the Jim Hartman Pan Am Space Clipper disintegration crash into the wire and all the cato-ing D13's.Dave ,
Were you able to get the NARAM-17 photo's uploaded ? Link?
Thanks,
Dave F.
