Erik Gates Scholarship

I think this qualifies as an international event...

It is once again time for the Erik Gates Memorial Scholarship to be awarded.

Erik was an exemplary member of Tripoli. After launching some humongous rockets, he decided to serve the membership by running for, and being elected as, a directorship. I was on the BoD while Erik was a member; his input and his great ideas for TRA will long be remembered.

Erik died in a tragic work-related accident. The scholarship is offered by TRA and by the Gates family as a tribute to his service.

Contrary to the application's requirement, applications will be accepted if they are postmarked by 30 June.

Applicants: Be sure to fill out the application COMPLETELY and follow the requirements. Sadly, in the past we have had a few (very few, thank goodness!) applications that, for example, did not include an ORIGINAL or SCHOOL-CERTIFIED transcript. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The older application was to have been deleted. I ouldn't find it earlier. Could you give me the URL of the old application so i can have it deleted.

It’s possible that the drive failure at the beginning of the year contributed to this. I’m sorry we didn’t catch it if that’s what happened.
