So what do you speculate caused the neck to snap? Looks like gases escaping from the ejection side, during thrust.

So he was attacked by the dreaded Estes E motor anomaly?

Yes, they were older E12 0 s manufactured in 2012. On a 0 delay CATO the added ejection charge went off immediately. Even with out an added pinch of BP the burning core blowing out the side of the rocket would have been enough to loose the heavy nose cone. Woosher still would have gone all loosy goosy.
 
brings a whole new meaning to the term, “endangered species.”

now, if you had made a PIGEON, it probably would have been immortal!

My American Cousin was wonderful. We can rebuild him, Disney has the technology! Better, faster,stronger! This time it hibachied the body tube. Woosher is a tough old bird!

Hmm... maybe if your neck had been severed from your body like a guillotine... your attitude would be a bit different.
