Hi all,

I'd like a recommendation of what wire to use for retaining a 38mm RMS case in a minimum diameter rocket. The wire should have the following properties:
* diameter between 0.25mm and 1mm
* good strength
* good heat resistance (i.e., it won't stretch significantly or break when placed near exhaust gases)
* malleable enough that I can easily twist the ends together to tighten a loop and later untwist it without breaking the wire

As has been suggested elsewhere on TRF, I'm planning to route the wire through a couple holes drilled near each other on an AT RMS aft closure. The wire will then be wrapped several times around the airframe above a thick ring of material that will keep the wire from slipping off. I

I'd love responses from those that have tried something similar.

Thanks in advance,

-- Jim
