That's odd. Mine weighs 186g, and like I said, I didn't have a problem with a D12-5.

I took a look at the parachute and all but one of the paper re-enforcing disks had pulled off like they didn't even had any adhesive on them.

Sounds like it might have been a problem with the parachute. I'd get a nylon chute for it, and try it again with a D12-5.
