So here's a thing...
I've designed a 3x29mm cluster for a 3" body tube. 3:1 Ogive nosecone, 3" fins, 27" total length (3x3x3). Calling it Troika.
Only issue at the moment: I can only find a 3x29 motor mount package from Sunward and it's plywood CR with cardboard tubes. Anyone forsee any problems putting that into a Fiberglass airframe? I grabbed a Rocketry Warehouse DYOK on Black Friday, and I'm going to take what I need for the Troika and use the rest as spare parts.
Speaking of which, I'm planning on using the 38mm tube that came with the DYOK as an AV bay in the nosecone. Should be able to fit an altimeter in there, right? I'm looking to use cable-cutter for nearer landing.
This is my first custom build and my first cluster. Any ideas, comments, or experience is welcomed.
Attached is the .ork file. I'm not for sure on the fin design just yet, but the rest is fairly set.
