I used to love flying those small whistling rockets when I was a kid and when I was trying to figure out how they work (to do it in the rockets we fly), I was disappointed to find out how it's done. You can search wikipedia or the net to find out, but not really an option for us (unless maybe you're EX or possibly if some motor manufacturer decides to/figures out how make it safely).

I know how that works. Done it many times as a kid. But is it any louder than the siren whistles? I don't think it is. In fact, positioning an acorn cap between your thumbs and blowing, is way much louder than either of these. Food for thought.

I got nothing but time and lots of building supplies.
Just have to find the right plastic and figure out how to tension it just right in tubes that scoop air in.

I've got lots of building supplies but limited time...still want to try the whistles positioned in the nose cone (inlet pointing up through holes in the nosecone. Winter project for me.
