What is the most accurate way of simulating tube fins in OR??

I'm toying around with the idea of building a tube fin rocket, but want to make sure it will be stable before I commit to building it.

Download the sample version of RS. I tried it, and the rocket was perfectly stable.

From what I've read on this very subject, you should be able to calculate tubes as fin if the tubes were flattened out in one layer [i.e. not "smashed" down double-thick]. For instance, if your fins are six 3" sections of BT-50, you'd calculate them as six fins, 3 inches long by ~3.14 inches wide.

Your mileage may vary. Check local listings. No purchase necessary.
