Yea! Layne's back! Woot!
Yea! Layne's back! Woot!
Take cover, identify the shooter, return fire. Yes I am permitted, and do carry most of the time.
In public, I carry 90% of the time... I also don't tell anyone that I carry (unless it is someone that trust unconditionally). If you see me at a launch and ask if I am carrying... the answer will be no...

I don't tell anyone that I carry. Until now. I just told TRF. Now everyone at launches knows. Shhhhhhh. Don't tell anyone. Cause I don't want anyone to know. Cause, you know, safety.
I wonder how many souls Cthulhu has reaped this summer already. It's atrocities like this that make me sacrifice a goat every day and paint the walls of my house with its blood. Every rocket launch, I dribble a circle of chicken's blood in a one mile radius from the site just to ward off the Great Old One for long enough. I wonder how many poor souls sit defenseless against the great evil that lurks... how many souls will needlessly suffer for all eternity just because they failed to defend themselves with even the most basic of charms. Rocketry is, indeed, a soft target for Cthulhu. All rocketeers should fear the great softness of His belly and the acids contained therein... defend thyselves, brothers, lest you suffer a fate worse than any human can fathom.

I do not fear the Cthulhu! I must admit that I was wrong that I thought it was my Springfield TRP loaded with Winchester silvertips but one friend showed up to a launch wearing a cross, and the Cthulhu slithered away. A Jewish friend showed up to a launch with a star of David, and again the Cthulhu slithered away.
In my original post I asked what would you do in the (unlikely) event that a shooter begins randomly firing at people at a rocket launch. There have been a range of responses from hide and pray to blow the bastards **** away. These are not pleasant thoughts, but having some viable plan for survival and terminating the threat seems sensible to me.
How many people know and take to heart what to do if your clothing catches on fire? Or where to go if a tornado is approaching or we find ourselves caught in a flood? We in this hobby pay great attention to preparing our toys for flight...shouldn't we take at least the same degree of preparation when our lives might be at stake by developing survival plans?
By that reasoning, we should also have a prepared Zombie plan. What would we do if a zombie deer entered the launch site and started spreading zombie virus to all of our club members...
Got it covered...
They also work on gremlins...
Six year olds with razors...
And cthulhu, if that is his real name...
Zombies clearly violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics. This is not a subject for debate.
As long as they don't violate the 2ns amendment.
By that reasoning, we should also have a prepared Zombie plan. What would we do if a zombie deer entered the launch site and started spreading zombie virus to all of our club members. Also, what would we do if gremlins burst onto the site? Or what if a six year old decided to start stabbing everyone with a razor knife?! Let's prepare for every eventuality because we're morally obligated to protect everyone. Which brings me back to my earlier point...
What will YOU do when Cthulhu rises to reap your vile souls? Are you and your club prepared?
As long as they don't violate the 2nd amendment, they're okay on my book. Cause the 2nd amendment is unchangeable.
Even protecting my pups from the bird flu!
She was a beautiful pup! The survey crew of the engineering firm I worked for back in 2001 found her & her sister out in the woods in a rural area around Lake Texhoma, Texas! She couldn't have been 3 months old. Yes she had A LOT of Sheltie in her. Had her for over 12 years. She was a great pup! (but I am lucky all my pups are great) I from Yonkers, be careful, some parts of Yonkers are BAD!Is that a Sheltie?
We agree on this point. Difficult and time-consuming process that is not likely to succeed.I think constitutional amendment is quite difficult. You need like 2/3 of Senate or something (I forget which) just to propose the amendment, and then it must be ratified by 3/4 of all states. I seriously doubt the second amendment will ever be repealed because gun right is a grassroot issue. Only big businesses and rich people are actually into gun restrictions. I wonder why...
