If there is good news... the booster and the upper body tube with the transition are fine. Just need to build a new BT-60 section. :(
 
As you can see, the booster had already staged and separated so it and the upper section are fine.

Just the lower section of the sustainer succumbed to the wrath of the E9.

And so I went ahead and rounded up the BT-60, the balsa, and the pattern for the fin and began the rebuild


Marking the tube for slots again after filling with FnF

Fins papered with Avery shipping labels and the edges sealed with dabs of thin CA.

Fins attached with Arleens. Fills the gaps in the sloppy slots nicely. takes about two fillet passes.

Shock cord mount glued in.
