ROCtober - Youth Group Rocket Launch

To support Scouting and other youth groups in the Southern California area, the Rocketry Organization of California (ROC) is hosting ROCtober at Lucerne Dry Lake in Lucerne Valley, CA. Camping is allowed (and encouraged). All launch equipment is provided, with ROC volunteers running the event.

Saturday and Sunday will be an open launch day where the kids will be able to launch their rockets along with amateur rockets of all sizes launched by ROC members. On Saturday night will be night launching, rockets with lights will light up the sky. Onsite vendors will have lights for rockets. Launch fees for youth groups are always just $1 per child per day, ROC's standard launch fees are just $10 per person per day for adult, no charge for camping or watching the launches!

Don't know if we have time for this launch. But we are doing the national Model Rocket day promotion again this coming year and we have Zippy rocket kits avainable to youth groups and schools for $1.75 (including shipping). The kits are available on request to any legit group when They need them not just the weekend of May 14th. If you are interested we could get some to you for next week end if you can reply this weekend.
